DIVINE HARMONY

Kiran Mudhar BSc Hons

Shiatsu Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Therapeutic Massage

I have always been very interested in the healing benefits of massage.  I come from a traditional Indian family and at a very young age we have used herbs and spices for healing.  Massage has always played a big part in my life with my Mother offering massage to myself and my brothers after bath times ever since I can remember.

My Grandmother is still alive and in her late 90s.  She believes that the reason for her longevity is because of self massage.

My studying began at Sandwell College where I gained a diploma in Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Massage.

I went on to further study in London at the University of Westminster where I graduated in 2004 with Hons in Complementary Therapies and Health Sciences.  Here I studied massage at a more advanced level and was introduced to Thai Yoga Massage.  This I feel is far more beneficial as the stretching and yoga positions help relaxation on a deeper level - not only on a better physical level but on a mental and spiritual level.

I am currently studying at the Ki Kai Shiatsu Centre for a diploma in Shiatsu and Oriental Medicine.

Shiatsu Massage – A Japanese clothes-on therapy, using a wonderful combination of pressure and stretching, improving mobility, vitality and relaxation.

Thai Yoga Massage – The application of slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along ten of the most important “sen” (the body’s energy lines).  This is performed using the hands, thumbs, elbows and feet. Practitioners position the body into yoga-like poses and gently rock the body to more deeply open joints increasing flexibility, decrease stress and promote a more balanced state of mind, body and spirit.  Thai massage is performed on a futon over clothing.  No oil or lotion is used.

Aromatherapy – A specialized, relaxing massage, using an individual blend of essential oils that work on many levels.  This greatly benefits the immune, lymphatic and nervous systems of the body.

Reflexology – This therapy is centred on the feet.  It involves stimulating pressure and relaxation techniques which provide a relaxing and energizing effect to every part of the body.

Therapeutic Massage – This treatment involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body.  The many benefits being to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress – helping to promote health and wellbeing.  Essential oils can also be used in conjunction with this treatment to benefit specific requirements.

All treatments vary in duration from one hour onwards.

First treatment is usually subject to a half-hour consultation.

Prices available upon request.

Please feel free to call and discuss your specific requirements.
