Holistic Therapies - Complementary and alternative therapists treat holistically. Therapists take into account the client's personality, history, life circumstances, individual preferences, mental and emotional states etc. in addition to his/her physical condition.

Relaxation and Stress - All our therapies support he body's ability to balance and heal itself. Aromatherapy, Thai Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, The Radiance Technique, Zero Balancing and Healing are particularly relaxing amd can help a person suffering from any of the conditions or symptoms listed on the Ailments page. Relaxation is the antidote to stress.

Contact your GP - We recommend that you let your doctor know you are seeking help from our therapists. Some remedies can interact with some medications and vice versa.

The following (brief) descriptions will give you an idea of the therapies available. All the therapies work holistically, supporting the body to balance and heal itself. Individual therapists can tell you more.

The Malvern Natural Health Centre offers the following types of alternative therapy:

Acupuncture:
Cross-checks 8 systems of traditional diagnosis developed over 4,000 years, to improve your health.
Angel Healing:
The healing energies of angels are channelled for your highest good. It can leave you feeling very peaceful and calm, and much stronger afterwards.
Aromatherapy:
A relaxing massage using individual blends of essential oils
Bowen Therapy/NST:
A cross-fibre muscle-rolling technique to relieve muscular and joint pains, and also asthma, migraines and menstrual complaints, etc.
Counselling/Psychotherapy:
Provides a safe space to explore emotional, psychological & relationship problems
Crystal Healing:
Crystals energise the body's healing ability using their wonderful colours and individual characteristics.
Diet and Nutrition
Dietary analysis can provide insights into persistent problems e.g. with weight loss or other health challenges. Clear feedback, with an action plan and on-going support.
Educational Kinesiology
Brain Gym is particularly good for overcoming blocks to learning and for changing behaviour patterns, especially in children.
Emotional Freedom Technique:

On Site Massage (seated acupressure)
A non-intrusive form of massage-with-acupressure for the back, neck, shoulders, scalp, arms and hands. Performed in the office, at home or anywhere suitable.
Qigong (Chi-Kung):
An Oriental therapy combining gentle exercise with breathing teachniques, meditation and visualisation
Q2 Energy Spa:
The Q2 Energy Spa was created to realign, balance and enhance the bio energetic levels in water that is then used by the cells of all living things.
Reflexology:
Massage and pressure on specific areas of the feet and hands work to rebalance corresponding glands and organs.
Reiki:
Hands placed on specific areas of the body channels energy to release stress and reinforces self healing.
Shiatsu Massage:
Pressure points activated in turn to bring the 'chi' back into a harmonious balance. No needles!
Thai Massage:
Based on the ancient Thai medical system, founded more that 2,500 years ago.
T'ai Chi:
Ancient Chinese forms of movement working on the same energy channels used in acupuncture.
Theta Healing:
Is used to identify fears and beliefs which can otherwise prevent us moving forward. Once the root of these is found the belief or fear is released, along with any physical or emotional conditions which have arisen because of it.
Touch for Health/Kinesiology
Touch for Health/Kinesiology (TFH) balances energies, using the meridian system, reflex and acupressure points, nutritional support and stress release. Many conditions alleviated, especially stress-related.
Zero Balancing (ZB):
Held stretches and finger pressure to release tension from the body, promoting deep relaxation and well being.
